Over the past 25 years, Friends of We Care has dedicated all its hard work and efforts towards assisting in sending physically disabled children to summer camps through the Easter Seals camping programs by raising funds through the Foodservice and Hospitality industry across Canada. During this time frame, Friends of We Care has contributed close to $13 million, allowing over 30,000 children with physical disabilities experience the joy of camping in facilities designed specifically for them.
The funds that are generated come through a number of special events conducted with the support of our industry Members. It is the hard work and efforts of our members listed below, that enables Friends of We Care to be the largest corporate contributor to Easter Seals Canada and the camping programs across Canada.

Gordon Food Service and Unisource Are the Champs
The Gordon Food Service'Meatheads' hockey team, led by Captain Blair Phillips triumphantly re-captured the 5th Annual Canadian Foodservice 'A' Division Cup with their shoot out victory over the team from C.W. Shasky (Mission Foods, Otis Spunkmeyer).Congratulations also go out to the team from Unisource who captured the 'B' Division Cup with a shoot out victory over the team from RG Henderson.See the newsletter for more information.
$78,000 Raised at We Care Bowling Challenge
Congratulations to all those who participated at the 10th Annual We Care Bowling Challenge held November 22nd. Close to 200 participants, 32 teams, collectively raised the highest amount ever for this event...over $78,000! A special thanks to SYSCO Canada for their incredible support as title sponsor and to all the volunteers who made the event day a big success.
