Neptune Food Service Contributes $1,000 to We Care By- Lindsay Palesch
On December 10th, Neptune Food Service presented a cheque in the amount of $1,000.00 to Friends of We Care as part of the Neptune For a Cause Community Support Program.
Over the past 25 years, Friends of We Care has dedicated all its hard work and efforts towards assisting in sending physically disabled children to summer camps through the Easter Seals camping programs by raising funds through the Foodservice and Hospitality industry across Canada. During this time frame, Friends of We Care has contributed close to $13 million, allowing over 25,000 children with physical disabilities experience the joy of camping in facilities designed specifically for them.
"On behalf of Friends of We Care, I would like to thank Neptune Food Service, especially Dean Noble, Heather Connelly and Janice Martin, for all their dedication and support for the past 7 years. Our last event raised over $21,000 and enables us to send 8 children to camp for 6 days, at no cost to their families." Carol Moffatt, Western Director - Friends of We Care, BC Chair - Bowling Event.
"We are very proud of the Neptune For a Cause Community Support Program," said Trish Hudson, Category Manager Marketing & BC Products, Neptune Food Service Inc. "We invest annually in our communities across British Columbia to help improve lives by building healthy families, creating strong communities and inspiring young Canadians."
