Project We Care

Gary Wright was a respected and much admired member of the foodservice industry but most of all, he was a dedicated husband to Brenna and father to his twin boys, Cory and Brandon. Fiercely proud of both of his sons, Gary had a special place in his heart for Cory, who was born with Cerebral Palsy.

Gary had a vision that children with disabilities have the same opportunities as children without. He wanted this not only for Cory, but for all children. His vision became a reality and as a result marked the birth of Project We Care in 1983.

Sadly, Gary died in January of 1987 and left the industry a tremendous legacy -- his wonderful child named "We Care" to raise and nurture.

We think he would be pleased at how all facets of this great industry of ours have worked together to make his dream and the dreams of so many children come true.

We hope he would be proud. We think he is.
